Yoga doesn’t really matter.
Yoga doesn’t really matter.
If you have ever had the privilege of offering your presence to someone who is aware they are nearing the end of their life, then you already know this.
I’ve shared this privilege several times, and it’s profoundly grounding and humbling.
As it turns out, in the end, only three things matter:
how well you loved, how fully you lived, and how willing you were to let go.
That’s it.
Not the yoga poses you did. Or the weights you lifted. Or the weight you didn’t lose. Or the businesses you built. Or the companies you sold. Or the stocks you should’ve traded but didn’t. Or the number of books you wrote. Or the dishes you washed. Or the chances you could’ve taken, but didn’t.
What matters most is the quality of heart with which you approach your life.
The compassion you extend to yourself and to others. The moments you choose connection over isolation. The times when you embrace change with graciousness instead of resistance.
Obviously, it’s easy to get distracted by the complexity of the world we live in. (I am, for one, a very distractible person.)
Especially in times of stress or strain, I return to these three questions, inspired by teacher Jack Kornfield:
How well did I love? How fully did I live? How willing was I to let go?
When asked with space and grace, these questions help me concentrate on what matters most: the quality of heart I bring to everything I do.
This is why I developed the Restored and Resilient Membership.
Because I don’t care all that much if you do the yoga poses perfectly.
I care about you becoming Restored and Resilient so you can show up with greater presence, lead with greater integrity, and live with greater inspiration and purpose.
This process begins with the lessons, insight, and inspiration inside the Restored and Resilient Membership.
Join me hereand make the shift from feeling depleted and disconnected to being Restored and Resilient today.
